In Minecraft there are a number of interesting objects and tools to discover while exploring the environment and going on a great adventure. As part of our guide to the game, we will tell you the details of the Composter, a special block with a useful function for obtaining Bone Dust.
What is the composter in Minecraft and what is it for?
As the name suggests, the composter is used, to convert biological matter (food and plant material) into bone dust. Villagers can use it as a workbench, which is why composters are found in villages, but generally players use them for the first function above. In order for it to work, you must equip the food in question (e.g. a carrot) and click on the composter to fill it with it.
How to use the composter
Once it’s full, a white cloth will appear on it and you’ll have to click on it empty-handed to get the bone dust from it.

How to make a composter in Minecraft
To build a composter you simply need seven7 sheets of any kind of wood. To get these slabs, you first need to get some wood (you know: chop a tree with your hands or with an axe) and process it into planks on the workbench.

Once you have the planks, lay them out in horizontal rows of three to get the planks of wood you want.

Finally, place the tiles as shown in the image below to get the garbage composter when you click on it.

And there you have it! However, you can also search a village and steal the composter from the villagers, but they probably won’t be too happy about a stranger coming and destroying their property, so building it from scratch will be more effective since the recipe in this case is pretty simple.
