In the early days you could only send text messages, pictures and videos with WhatsApp. However, for several years it has also supported the transmission of voice memos and audio messages. The developers chose a rather strange format for storing this content: the OPUS extension. Is it possible to convert them to MP3? Yes, and in this post we will show you how you can easily do it yourself.
That Convert WhatsApp voice memos and audio files to a more conventional format such as MP3 is not a natively implemented feature. You have to use third-party software to do this. One of the applications that can help you with this task is Opus to Mp3 Converter.
Once installed, open the app on your device and give it permission to read the files on your phone. Then tap Select Files (choose files).

Browse the internal storage by following the path WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Voice Notes or WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Audio follow In both folders you will find OPUS files in subdirectories as shown in the screenshot below.

Once you find the OPUS file, select it. Opus to Mp3 Converter allows you to mark more than one file to perform bulk conversion.
