However, CD Projekt RED’s recommended requirements seem to target around 30 FPS at medium and high settings. For most players this may be too low. So those considering 60 FPS should think about twice the requirements on the list.
If you are within the 30 to 40 FPS range or are looking for some ways to increase your frame rate, there are a few different methods you can try. The first is to set all graphics settings to the lowest first. This mainly includes shadows and reflections that can be found in the Graphics menu. Reducing these in the first place will provide a huge FPS increase without reducing the graphics quality of the game.
Next, you will want to turn off Ray-Trace and DLSS. If your computer sees above 60 FPS with Ray Tracing enabled then definitely turn it on. However, RTX puts a very heavy load and drops your FPS by a large amount. DLSS, on the other hand, actually increases your FPS by around 60%. Also, set the Power Management Mode to “Prefer maximum performance”. These settings will allow your game to prioritize FPS over image quality.
