To start building in Fortnite from our smartphone we just have to click on one of the four existing building types tap. On the controller we start building with the right button (circle on PlayStation, B on Xbox and A on Nintendo) and we change the material with the L and R buttons.

Touching the construction types, we start building
As soon as we touch one of them we have two icons (one on the left and one on the right) to select the to place selected construction. On the controller, you place the selected construction with the ZR button.

After touching this icon the construction will start. It should be noted that although construction begins, it will take some time because the less shot resistance is, as long as the construction is not yet completed.
On the other hand, the constructions can also turned by clicking on the icon with an arrow in the shape of a circle. On the controller, this is done by pressing the right cursor, i.e. R3.

There are four types of resources to build in Fortnite:
- Holz: This is the least durable resource and the easiest to obtain. You can burn it with fire. The best way to get more is by crushing pallets and trees.
- brick: It is the middle material, its resistance and ease of access is between wood and metal. The best way to get it is by smashing big rocks.
- Metal: It is the strongest and most difficult material to obtain. It is also a very slow material, taking several seconds to finish building. The best way to get it is by hacking junk cars.
To edit

To edit we must touch the icon that is on the right side with several squares appears. On the controller, hold down the same edit button while viewing the construction.

Then we look at the construction that we want to edit and use our finger to select the squares that we want to “erase”. With the controller we select them while holding down the ZR button.

To finish editing, we click the V-shaped icon. In the case of playing with a controller, we click on the “Edit” button again.

Finally, if what we want is to switch to a weapon or pickaxe, all we have to do is tap on it. With the controller, this happens automatically when we finish editing.
