WhatsApp allows you to configure various aspects of the app to your liking, e.g. B. the font size or the font of the texts that we find on the user interface. If you have visual problems or just Want to see WhatsApp messages larger, you are in the right place. To change font size you just have to follow a few simple steps that will take you no more than a minute. We’ll also answer some questions you might have, such as whether enlarging the Android keyboard also works. We tell you all about it below.
Increase or decrease the font size of WhatsApp
first open the App and then tap the menu button (top right of the screen):
WhatsAuto main view
Then tap Settings or settings:
When you are in this area, click Chats:
Here we must look at a section called Font Size (font size) which we click next:
WhatsApp chat settings
We have three customization options:
Text size selection
Small is the smallest text size, Medium is the standard size and Large is the biggest. Note that these changes only affect WhatsApp, not the whole phone.
At this point we would like to point out that while these customization options are more than sufficient for their purpose, they can be somewhat limited in some cases. For example, if those who need a larger format are users with special accessibility needs (especially them), it might be better to think about more comprehensive solutions. Such a solution would mean changing the font size of the entire operating system.
You see that changing the font size in WhatsApp for Android is a matter of seconds. The process isn’t difficult at all, and if you need a font size that better suits your vision, this is the quickest, easiest, least complicated, and least painful method.
How can I change the keyboard size in WhatsApp?
When you increase the font size in WhatsApp, you actually only change the size of the text in the app itself. The size of the letters on the keyboard itself, both in WhatsApp and in the other apps on your phone, hasn’t changed. If you want to increase the size of the letters that appear on the keyboard, you need to go into the settings of the keyboard app you are using. Gboard and SwiftKey are two of the most popular. Here are the steps to do this in Gboard, look for similar options in any other keyboard app you have installed as it’s a very common option:
Enlarge the keyboard on Android to full size if needed
- Open Gboard by clicking the app icon or in System Preferences.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to the keyboard level.
- Choose the desired keyboard height from the pop-up menu.
- Go back to the previous menu and press Expand on keypress.
