Before we start creating WhatsApp stickers, there are a few basic things you should be aware of:
- Each sticker is an image with a transparent background.
- Stickers must be exactly 512 x 512 pixels.
- Each sticker must be under 100 KB in size.
Those who create colorful and cartoony stickers use professional graphic design tools, but most of us poor users don’t have the knowledge to create them from scratch.
That said, it doesn’t sound like a solution. So you can make your own stickers for the most famous Messaging-App create the world? Yes, and you have two options for that: either you create your own stickers with the photos in your gallery, or you use the AI via the Google keyboard.
How to create stickers using photos from your phone
In order to create stickers from photos you have stored on your device, you need to download and install an application called Sticker Maker.
Once you open it for the first time, you’ll see this:

If we click on the cross we can create a new pack of stickers:

After clicking, a window will appear where we can search for a name for the Pack and ask the author. Fill out both fields and click Create:

Now the pack is created. To edit it we click on it:

When we tap on it we see three options:

Take Photo opens the camera Open Gallery allows us to select a photo from the gallery and Select File opens the file browser to search for an image yourself. Once we have chosen the image we want, we click on it and see how it looks on the screen. Then we can manipulate the image with the existing controls at the bottom until we like it:

Now if we click on one of the thumbnails we can start creating custom stickers:

The process works the same as it did before. If you click on an image, you are again presented with the three options that appeared to create the header image and the same process for opening and manipulating the image. Now create as many as you need and click Add to WhatsAppwhen you’re done:

Remember that thanks to this App add up to 30 stickers per pack.
How to create stickers with Gboard
Gboard allows you to create personalized stickers based on our face. You’ll need to install and activate it if it’s not already on your phone.
If you already have it and use it regularly, open any application that uses the keyboard to enter text (any notepad app will do).
Once the keyboard appears, click on the sticker icon:

Now a menu opens with many stickers that are pre-installed on the Google keyboard. Scroll to the right until you reach the pinion icon. Click on it:

When you open it, you will see a screen with two tabs. By default is Favorite opened, although in this case you open Browse should click:

Your phone’s front camera will open and reveal a frame in which to fit your face:

Once you’ve done that, click the camera’s shutter button to snap a photo. Now the application gets to work and when it’s done it will let you know what it has in store for you. if you up Show me click, the app will show you all the sticker packs it has created:

Each of these face-based stickers is perfectly customizable. Just click Customizeto get into the editor:

Now, if you return to the Gboard Stickers tab, you should be able to easily access all of your custom stickers:

As you can see, the process is simple, but knowing the right steps is necessary. As we just described it to you, it shouldn’t be a problem.
How to create stickers with Sticker.ly
This application is special because it allows you to download already made stickers with good quality while offering the possibility to create your own stickers.
if you App the first thing you will see is this:

In this main view you will find images and videos for your WhatsApp statuses, as well as sticker packs that you can add to your collection by clicking the Add-Button click (as highlighted in the image). If you want to create your own collection, you have to click on the cross icon:

Then the picture gallery opens for us:

Here we are looking for a photo that we want to turn into a sticker. As soon as we find it, we tap it. When we’re done, we have to cut out the background of the photo (or not, we can leave the image as it is by clicking Next) to create a more elaborate sticker. The best way to do this is to click Auto:

The sticker will be cut out automatically. We can manually adjust the crop and even add text if we think it’s necessary. When we are satisfied, we tap Next:

Next, let’s add a set of labels to our sticker and click Saveto save the changes:

Then we need to create a package or pack to store it inside. To do this, click New Pack:

Enter a name for the pack and for the author and click Create. We can also enable or disable letting other Sticker.ly users find our works by clicking Allow Search click:

To add it to WhatsApp you have to create at least 3 stickers, which is very easy if you follow the steps outlined here.
