WhatsApp has one Export function, which allows you to send your conversations through external applications. This makes it possible to share the content of a chat with other people via email. It’s easy: open the chat you want to send and tap the three dots in the top right corner. Click on Moreonce the pop-up menu appears.

A few additional options will appear. One of them is Export chatwhich is of interest to you if you want to send the conversation histories by email.

All compatible applications will be displayed in the Android share menu. Select your preferred email program. As you can see in the image below, we used Gmail. However, this method is compatible with Spark, Outlook, and any other email app.

Finally, enter the destination address and use the send button to share the chat.

The document that WhatsApp generates when exporting a conversation is in the TXT-Format. This file type is compatible with all operating systems, so the recipient does not need to install an application to view the file.
Sharing chats via email from WhatsApp is useful in some cases. For example, if the contact you’re having a conversation with lost their chat history, this is a good way to send them a copy. It can also come in handy to save conversations and prevent information loss in case you need to restore your phone.
There are a few things to consider when sending an exported chat. Don’t forget it yourself is a file that can be easily manipulated and could be resent one or more times. It is recommended that you only send email chats to people you trust. Also, TXT files are not encrypted. Therefore, the information is accessible to anyone who receives the conversation.
