One of the basic elements of Instagram is the Like-Button. It allows users to indicate that they like a photo or video. In addition, the social network’s algorithms take this indicator into account in order to personalize the experience and the recommendations on the screen. However, the total number of likes also creates competition between users, distracting from what Facebook says is really important: the content.
For this reason it is now possible Hide the total number of likes you’ve received for your posts. The first step is that you go to one of your photos and click on the three vertical dots.

Click in the context menu Hide Like Count.

Immediately the total number of likes will disappear. As a result, no user will be able to find out this information. This does not mean that the Like button has been removed from your photos. In fact, this feature is still enabled and it is possible to view the data by clicking View likes to experience. Of course, this button is only available to you.
