One Hide photos and videos from WhatsApp in galleryfirst open the application and click on the menu button (top right of the screen):
Conversations on WhatsApp
Click within the menu Settings:
Open menu on WhatsApp
Now we click Chats:
Access to chat settings
We look at the section Chat settings. With a bright green color we die Media visibility marked:
Show photos and videos enabled
We need to disable that. We will click on the button, which is now green, to turn it gray and thus disable it:
Show photos and videos disabled
And that’s it, the images and videos we receive from WhatsApp will no longer appear in the image gallery, they will no longer appear under your other media. If you want to look up all the multimedia content shared with it, you’ll have to look it up in the app itself. We want to remind you that all the images and videos that arrive on WhatsApp are saved on the phone’s internal memory, even if you have a microSD card inserted.
WhatsApp has thankfully simplified this process, because previously you had to use a file browser capable of creating files and taking a few extra steps that, while not very complicated, lengthened the process a bit. Having a chance to do this from within the application itself is more than good.
As you can see, this process is very simple and only takes a few seconds. You shouldn’t have any trouble with the instructions given, so we recommend you follow them to the letter.
