First open the chat in which you record a WhatsApp audio want. Then press the microphone icon as usual to create voice notes. It is important that you press and hold the button continuously.
Start recording
Next, a padlock will appear at the top. Slide your finger away from the microphone button towards the microphone to lock the recording. You can then continue speaking and generating your audio without keeping your finger on the screen.
Lock the recordings
A pause button will appear at the bottom center of the screen. Press to pause recording. This will stop WhatsApp from recording and will not save anything you say from that point forward.
