Windows 10 has a built in native screen recorder, which allows you to record on video everything that happens on your screen. Although it’s a tool more oriented towards the world of video games, it can be used for any other purpose, such as creating educational material. To run it, all you need to do is use the Windows + G keyboard shortcut. Immediately, a series of windows with various utilities will appear.

To open the screen capture tool, click the button Capture in the main taskbar. To recognize it, look for the clock inside.

Then click the record button to start recording.

Immediately all tools in the game bar will disappear from the screen. Only a small window with the necessary controls for recording remains visible. From here you can stop recording and enable or disable the microphone.
Recording control
When the recording is complete, go to the folder Videos. There you will find a directory called Captures. Access it to find the video file resulting from the screen capture. You can open them with any compatible media player, such as VLC.

If you want to record the content of your screen, you need to pay attention to a few details. For example, although you can use this trick for any program, permitted the Windows game bar no recordings of file explorer or the desktop.
It is also possible, to start a quick recording, without showing all controls in the game bar. You can do this with the Windows + Alt + R keyboard shortcut. This way the recording starts immediately and only the essential recording controls are displayed.
