To improve the user experience, Google Chrome has a system of extensions that can be used to perform many more tasks beyond the normal tasks of a web browser. However, there may come a time when you want to forgo one of them. You have two options: Uninstall or Disable. Here’s how to do both…
Uninstall extensions
Once it’s clear that we no longer want to use an extension, we can uninstall it. The difference between this option and disabling it is that uninstalling the extension takes up no more hard drive space. To start uninstalling, open Google Chrome and open the menu. To do this, click on the button with the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the screen.

Now another menu will appear on the left side, click on Extensions.
Click on Extensions
You will see all extensions installed in Google Chrome. Find the one you want to remove and click the button remove.
Find the extension you want to remove and click Remove
A confirmation message will appear. Click again Removeto uninstall the extension.
Click Remove for the uninstall to take effect
Disable extension
Disabling an extension means that Google Chrome not so many active extensions anymore but you can still use the extension when you need it by simply activating it. The steps are very similar to uninstall. Click the three vertical dots icon to open the Google Chrome menu.

Click in the menu that appears on the left Extensions.
Click Extensions to access Google Chrome extensions
You will see the extensions installed in Google Chrome. To disable an extension, simply locate it and click its blue slider.
Click the slider to disable the extension
You will see the slider turn grey. If you want to reintroduce the extension, just click the slider again.
Clicking again will re-enable the extension.
