How to watch You TV Player on Smart TV

To watch You TV Player on a Smart TV, you have two options: use Chromecast (or a Smart TV that supports screen mirroring technologies) or project your device’s screen to your TV using a USB-C HDMI cable. We advise against installing the app on an Android TV top box or directly on a pure Android TV, as the app is not optimized for these devices.

Watch You TV Player with Chromecast or a smart TV with screen mirroring support

First of all, you need to have the app installed on your phone, so download it using the button on this page. Once you have done that and logged in after creating an account, click on the casting button:

Once you do this, the app will search your Wi-Fi network for connected devices to send the device’s screen content to. Whether it finds a Chromecast device, a Smart TV with screen mirroring, or an Android TV Box with Chromecast built-in, they will be in the App displayed as follows:

Tap on the device to start broadcasting your screen and that’s it. From then on, browsing and content playback will be done through your mobile device, with the benefit of seeing everything on a larger screen.

You Watch TV Player via USB C – HDMI cable

You’ll need a physical cable to connect your phone to the TV. Once you have it, it’s easy to plug each end into the appropriate port. Next you need to use your TV remote control to select the HDMI port you connected your device to.

Basically it’s a screencast like the previous one, but with cables. All browsing and content playback is done through your phone.

Watch You TV Player on a PC and connect it via HDMI

As before, to use this method we need a real cable to make the connection. Also, BlueStacks must be installed on the computer with You TV Player. To get started, download the BlueStacks installer along with the app by clicking the button on this page.

Once you have it on your PC, double click on it and click Install now:

The program will be downloaded and installed automatically without you having to do anything else; it will even start automatically when it’s done. Then, when you double-click the downloaded APK file, it will be automatically installed on BlueStacks.

You can find them in the area My Games:

Clicking on it will launch the app and we can connect the PC to the TV via HDMI to use the You TV Player.

Watch You TV Player via Screen Mirroring with AirDroid

This method is still a form of casting as in the case of Chromecast, but it’s a bit more complicated and generally the least desirable of all the methods we’ve featured. But it’s possible, and that’s why we’re telling you about it.

First download and install Airdroid on your device using the button here.

Once you have it, firstly open Google Chrome on your computer (it must be Google Chrome, otherwise the method will not work) and go to web.airdroid.com You will then land on this website:

AirDroid home pageAirDroid home page

Now take your Android device and open AirDroid. Click on the button on the right side of the screen, below AirDroid Web:

A QR code reader will open and you need to scan the QR code you see on the screen. If we scan it, the following information will appear on the screen. Click on Sign in:

Then the AirDroid website will look different. The name of our terminal will appear on it and we will also see that something else has changed. On the website, click the button that says Mirroring:

After granting the necessary permissions, we see that our phone’s screen is now perfectly mirrored on our browser’s screen. We open the You TV Player and we’ll see how it does in the web version of AirDroid:

Now we can connect our PC to the TV using the HDMI cable. We will control everything that happens in AirDroid from our device. As I said, this method is the least elegant and cumbersome of all. In addition, it is not possible to play the contents of the phone in full screen mode on the PC and therefore also on the TV.
