Is it legal to download videos and photos on Instagram?

Downloading and publishing all private and personal content of any user over the Internet is completely prohibited in our country. However, there is no objection to downloading personal and non-private videos and photos for general purpose (eg nature photo or comedy video).

Using the content that is free to download for commercial purposes may cause problems as it may be subject to license. You can use the content you download personally. However, in order to share them over the internet, it is necessary to know whether the content is a licensing issue. No license can be registered for any content shared on Instagram, which means that all content can be used freely. In other words, since we mentioned above, it does not cause any problem to share the content that is free to download in our country on any platform.

Nevertheless, it is inconvenient to download and publish the contents of the relevant account, after following the secret accounts and allowing the other party to follow you. It may require criminal liability. You should avoid such behavior.

Videos and photos shared on Instagram Reels, Story, and Explore are public and can be freely downloaded and used.

How to download videos and photos from Instagram, Reels, Story, Explore?

Method 1: Using the phone’s screen capture feature

Taking a screenshot:

It is one of the oldest and most frequently used methods and is a direct download method of content that appears on the screen, without the need for any third party application (video portion may be excluded). You can save a record of any image (including comments) you see on Instagram on your smartphone directly to your phone with the screen capture tool.

For this method, you first need to know how the screen capture feature works on your phone. Here are a few popular ways to save screenshots of phones:

For Android smartphones: Press the volume down and power key the same.

Taking a screen video:

We do not recommend taking screenshots to record Instagram videos. Consider this as the last possible option, as everything on the screen will appear and the video quality will decrease. Still, we will provide information on this subject.

Screen video capture feature may not be available on every phone. For phones that do not have this feature, you can use third party video capture applications.

Screen video recording tool built into Android devices: Usually when you pull down the notification bar, it appears as an option with a video camera icon (Screen recorder can be written on it). When you touch this button, you can access information about the recording and start recording. If you cannot find this feature on your device, you can search for the brand and model of your phone through Google (example: Samsung Galaxy S21 screen video recorder)

Screen recorder app for Android devices: If your Android phone doesn’t have a built-in video recording tool, you can use the Screen Recorder app. To download click .

Method 2: Using online Instagram downloader sites

With the features of the sites that have developed with the emergence of HTML5, many operations can now be done online without requiring an extra application. One of these is that Instagram content can be downloaded via online sites.

To download a video or photo of any post from Instagram:

First, we need to copy the link for the content. For this:

1. First, open the options for video or photo sharing in the Instagram application . You can open the options by tapping the three dots icon at the top-right corner or bottom of the share. ( Click for sample screenshot ).
2. Select Copy Link from the options that open .

Then we paste this link that we copied into the box on one of the online Instragram download sites where we are asked to paste the link to download . Here are a few online Instragram download sites:
