What are WhatsApp statuses?
WhatsApp status is on Communication format, which is intended for sharing photos, videos, text or GIFs. Unlike conversations between two users or groups, its purpose is to share updates and news with a large number of users at the same time. WhatsApp statuses support landscape images and videos, although the display is best when using vertical media.
This tool included in the messaging application has two peculiarities. On the one hand, the status messages are played back as a slide show. Each uploaded image, text or video is wrapped in a single chart. If a status contains more than one item, the user can move forward or backward by tapping the edges of the screen. Also will each item’s status is displayed for 24 hours. After this period, the media will disappear and no contact will be able to see them.
How does WhatsApp status work?

During the slideshow, you’ll see the number of items in the contact’s status. They will be displayed for a few seconds. To stop WhatsApp from jumping to the next slide, press and hold the screen.

If you want to send a reply, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Reactions are linked to a specific slide, not all items in the status.

Navigating between the slides is easy. As we have marked in the image below, tap the right side of the screen to go forward and the left side to go back.
Move from one frame to the next
WhatsApp notifies you of new updates from your contacts with a dot next to the Status-Tab. To get notifications about the statuses you really care about, mute the contacts you don’t want to see updates from. Long press their name and tap Mute (mute).

When you’re done, tap the send button to publish the status. Conversely, if you select the camera button, you can take a photo or select a screenshot from the gallery. Press and hold the shutter button to start recording.

Finally, we want to address one more important topic: the Status reporting privacy. Type in the area Status on the three vertical dots and open Status privacy.
