Fortnite is since August 9, 2018 available on Android. While initially only playable on some Samsung devices, it is now available on smartphones and tablets of all brands.Fortnite release date on other platforms.

- July 25, 2017: Fortnite Save The World is coming to PC, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
- 26. September 2017: Fortnite Battle Royale launches on PC, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
- March 15, 2018: Fortnite Battle Royale launches on iOS*.
- 12. June 2018: Fortnite Battle Royale launches on Switch.
- 9. August 2018: Fortnite Battle Royale launches on Android.
- December 6, 2018: Fortnite Creative Mode launches on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, iOS*, Android and Nintendo Switch.
- 10. November 2020: Xbox Series launches, all Fortnite modes available from day one.
- 12. November 2020: PlayStation 5 launch, all Fortnite modes available from day one.
*On August 14, 2020, Fortnite was removed from the App Store, making it unplayable on iOS for the time being is.
Is it possible to play Fortnite Save the World on Android?
No, Save The World mode is not available on Android, iOS or Nintendo Switch. There is first no plansthat this mode will come to one of those platforms.
Fortnite relaunch on iOS
Epic Games intends to re-release Fortnite on iOS, but is currently in litigation with Apple. Fortnite was removed from the App Store because alternative payment methods were included in the game itself without going through the Apple Store or making a profit for the apple giant.
Epic Games argues that there is no other way to sell its Fortnite add-ons on iOS than to have the game on the App Store, which the game’s developers consider a monopoly on the market. Once there’s a decision, we’ll see what stance Apple and Epic Games take on releasing Fortnite on iOS. It is estimated that Fortnite could be available again around October 2021.
