Microsoft Word includes many options that you can use to customize the look of your documents. One of these functions is the line spacing. Here’s where to find this feature and how to use it in your files.
First we explain how to find line spacing. Go to the rider Home. Here are the general Word options.

Look at the area paragraph an.

Find the line spacing icon. It consists of two arrows pointing in opposite directions. It also shows four horizontal lines that represent the shape of a paragraph. When you click on it, a pop-up menu will appear where you can select some standard options.
Change line spacing
If you increase the line spacing, the paragraphs in your documents will be further apart. In the image below you can see that the line spacing is set to 3.0 points.

If you need additional options, click the same button again, but this time Line Spacing Options).
Other line spacing options
In the new window that appears on the screen, you can change other parameters related to the paragraph style. The options related to line spacing are in the box Spacing (Distance) grouped. It is particularly interesting preview areawhich is under the heading Preview (Preview) located. This allows you to verify that the changes made are correct before applying them to the document. When you’re done, click Okto apply the changes.

All these settings only apply to the current document. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about the rest of your files as they keep their original look. Microsoft Word will also not use the spacing you specified in new documents. Rather, each file stores its own line spacing settings.
