To check if you can play Fortnite on your Android device, you must first have the Epic Games APP install that you can download using the button that we leave at the bottom of this article.
Click Install to install the app
After installing the application, we open it and see that Fortnite appears as soon as we enter it. We bet on it.
In the Epic Games app we tap on Fortnite
On the next screen we already get the answer to that; it can be named either “Install” or “Device Not Supported”. If the latter occurs, forget about installing Fortnite on your smartphone, you need a compatible device.
We can see that in this case the device is not compatible with Fortnite
If we want to buy a new smartphone to play Fortnite, we have to check if this new phone meets some minimum requirements. Currently are the requirements that Epic Games asks for their gamethe following:
- 64-bit or ARM64 processor.
- Operating system Android 8.0 or higher
- 4GB RAM
- GPU: Adreno 530 or higher, Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher
- 6.60GB of free disk space
If the smartphone meets all these requirements exactly… Fortnite will work, at least for now.
In each update, Fortnite may become incompatible with smartphones that don’t also meet the above requirements. This happens with almost all games and apps, which is why we recommend that the above conditions are more than just metif you want to enjoy the game on your smartphone or tablet for a long time.
On the other hand, just because a device meets the above requirements doesn’t mean the game will run perfectly. At a minimum, Fortnite can go below 20FPS, and of course run unstable. And it’s only going to get worse in future updates as games tend to incorporate graphical improvements and additions.
Finally, we recommend that the smartphone or tablet you buy is a original product and not a counterfeit or cheap copy of any other high-end product. If you do, chances are Fortnite won’t work or become incompatible much sooner than it should.
