Things to know beforehand

There are a few things you should know before changing the Windows 11 display language. These are as follows.

• You can only change the display language in Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise editions. If you are using Windows 11 Home, you cannot change the display language.
• Make sure your system is connected to the internet. Required to download language packs.

As always, the first thing we need to do is open the Settings app. To do this, you can click the Settings icon in the Quick Settings panel or  press the Windows + I keyboard shortcut. You can search for the same thing in the Start menu.

After that, Time and Language |  Go to the Language and Region page. Here you will find all the options for managing all language settings.

Here, see if you can find the language you want to set as default in the Languages section. If you can’t,  click the Add language button. This action will allow you to add the language pack.

Now, search for the language you want to set as default, select it and  click the Next button.

After selecting the language, select the Set as default display language checkbox and  click the Install button. This action will force Windows to download the requested language pack.

 

At this point the newly selected language  will be at the top of all other language packs under the Language section. If not, drag and drop the language in the first place. Then log out and log in or restart the computer.

After restarting the computer, the newly selected language will be the default display language.
